Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Oyasoo app. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well; these terms add to it.

What Oyasoo is

Oyasoo estimates when you sleep from how you use your iPhone and how it moves. It’s a tool for your own insight, not a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it can be wrong: lying awake without touching your phone, for example, looks like sleep. If you’re worried about your sleep, talk to a doctor.

Oyasoo Premium

  • Premium is an optional subscription, yearly or monthly, bought through the App Store. The price is shown in the App Store and in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that.
  • You can manage or cancel it at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in Oyasoo under Settings → Manage Subscription. After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple’s rules: reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • The free part of Oyasoo, automatic sleep detection and the last 7 days, stays free.

Your data

How Oyasoo handles your data is described in the privacy policy. Your sleep stays on your iPhone and in Apple Health if you choose; it’s yours.

Acceptable use

You may not copy, resell or misuse the app, or use it to break the law. You also may not reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to.

Availability

Oyasoo relies on iOS features such as Screen Time that Apple can change. We work to keep detection running after every iOS update, but we can’t promise the app will always work exactly as it does today. We may change, improve or remove features over time.

Liability

We build Oyasoo with care, but it’s provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect damage or for decisions you make based on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another country, its consumer protection rules still apply to you.
